NEW SHIPPING PRICES UPDATE - 31 MARCH 2021
As of 1st April 2021 Japan Post will adjust the price of shipping for all international mail to all regions, prices per weight category have either been increased, decreased or no change has been made. See the comments and table below for the full breakdown.
THE NEW PRICING COMES INTO EFFECT ON 31 MARCH 2021.
AUSTRALIA – `Marker Eki special region`, Marker Eki ships to Australia frequently enough using Japan Post Services that a special shipping rate has been secured for Airmail Shipping. The special rate sees a `no change` and a `decrease` in shipping rates for heavier weight categories.
The biggest change is for customers located in the United States of America (Region 4) who see a large rise in the price of shipping for orders under 500g. This is due to the American Government imposing stricter requirements for screening of outgoing international mail before it leaves the country of origin. Japan Post has decided to create a new regional category for only USA and the costing reflects the increased burden.
Customers located in Europe, New Zealand and Canada (Region 2) will only see a small increase in costs for orders up to 500g however orders over 500g to 2kg will see a slight decrease in shipping costs.
Shipping to Asia (Region 1) and Africa, South America (Region 3) is also available and the prices per weight category are detailed below.
I have worked hard to keep the increase in shipping costs to a minimum which is reflected in some weight categories however it is inevitable that some weight categories are now more expensive.

Since April 2020 Japan Post suspended tracking for Airmail orders due to delays in delivery to some regions, the cost of tracking has not increased (AUD$6) and will be updated/added once tracking becomes available again.
Currently Standard economy Airmail, the cheapest method of shipping is still suspended and unlikely to resume anytime soon.
There are no changes to the cost of shipping by Courier.
